Brodies Restaurant Wins Chef of The Year
“An experienced chef whose career has included cooking for a former American President and the Queen. Russell prides himself on producing outstanding, freshly prepared dishes using the best local and seasonal produce.
He opened Brodies in 2011 with his wife Danyella, fulfilling a long-held dream to launch his own restaurant.
One of those nominating him said: “Brodies has become a ‘destination’ attraction, bringing visitors to the town.”
“Russell set out his stall from day one to be a champion of local produce in a bid to know exactly where his raw materials were coming from and to promote and encourage local producers, be they long established or new-start enterprises.”
Another nominator, who praised the restaurant’s speciality afternoon tea, added: “Russell Pearce has continuously improved their offering. It is a place that attracts people time and again”
Russell is also a founder member of the Dumfries & Galloway Chefs Association.”
